Two of a Kind

We had a great time celebrating my 2 favorite people this weekend at the Murphy's, Lane and Harper Lane. I love that Father's Day and Harper's birthday are so close together...presents and cake seem to go on for weeks.

Harper made her daddy a special mug. She was really into painting for approximately 3.5 minutes of the hour long process.
I'm old news when it comes to these two.

Harper posing in front of some of her gifts while sporting Lane's childhood boots.

Such a fun guy and an even more amazing dad. Harper is a lucky gal.

Harper loved her ladybug cake but was scared to eat the ladybugs. I'm glad she understands that we never eat bugs.

Grandmommy tells great stories. I'm so thankful Harper knows both of Lane's grandmothers...both are beautiful, classy, and strong women. I pray she follows suit.

Harper is wearing a special dress made for her by Grandmother...so cute!

Love to both of my loves. You make my life rich and full and sweet.

Cool Summer Nights

Dusk has always been my favorite time of day. I am loving these Summer evenings with my family...the whole crew.

My Bucket List

On my Bucket List:

1. Swimming with Shamu
2. Scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef
3. Visiting Split, Croatia

Not on my Bucket List:

1. Getting Viral Meningitis at 18 weeks pregnant

After a few days in the hospital, some prego-safe pain meds, and some rest time, I'm making my way down Recovery Road. So thankful for good family and friends to take care of me, especially an amazing husband and an equally amazing daughter. I definitely pray that is the worst I ever feel.

It's hard to look cute doped up and in major pain...the best I could do. No comments.

Sweet Lane, Baylor, and CIS-HOT.

Hard Knock Life

This kid needs a break. Sinus infection, nasty virus, and a staph infection all in a week's time.

At least she has 2 "Bs" to stand by her side.

Hang in there, kiddo. Being 22 months is rough.

Red Delicious

Dear Eve,

I hope you enjoyed that apple because morning sickness that actually lasts all day is for the birds.

With deepest gratitude,
Amy--representing all your female descendants

Glad to be Back

Hopefully I can keep it up. I have the best of intentions. It's the execution part with which I struggle.

Life has been busy these last few months. I've been puking. Lane's been organizing, re-organizing, categorizing, and then re-organizing again old car parts. Harper's been eating fruit snacks and monitoring her dad's car part organization.

We are super excited about the wonder bug in my belly. When recently asked what the baby's name should be, Harper responded, "Raaa, Gigi, and Kit Kit." I guess Kit Kit is kind of cute. We'll keep it in the running.

Here are a few pics of life lately-ish:

I turned 30. My friends insisted on picking me up. Lesley is always the ring leader of these sort of things.

Harper became OBSESSED with riding the lawn mower. Mowing without her is not an option.

Harper made resolve that because she was gifted with my glorious skin, she will have to wear sunscreen on her face until she is 93.

We took family photo 311 in front of the spikey palms at the Hyatt in San Antonio. It never gets old. Lane's beard went on Spring Break.

Harper dominated her class egg hunt.

"P" organized an entire Easter Egg hunt at Baylor just for Harper...so she thinks.

Poppy bought Harper a red corvette...so she thinks.

Harper hunted for more eggs in Weinert.

We took another family photo.

I shall return...at least that is my goal.
